Founded in 2009 by Mani, BINDREE is a love letter to India's textile heritage — where every thread is placed with intention and every print tells a story.
In 2009, Mani set out with a simple but powerful idea: to bring India's finest handcrafted textiles to the modern wardrobe without losing the soul of the craft. Growing up surrounded by the rich weaving traditions of India, she saw how artisan communities were struggling to reach the wider world.
BINDREE was born — a bridge between heritage craftsmanship and contemporary Indo-Western fashion. Every collection is a conversation between centuries-old techniques and today's design sensibilities.
Mani's philosophy is simple: "The beauty of handcraft is that no two pieces are ever the same. That imperfection is the fingerprint of the artisan — and it's what makes each garment truly yours."

Every BINDREE piece is a testament to India's living textile traditions

Our artisans in Jaipur hand-carve wooden blocks from teak, then dip them into natural dyes made from indigo, pomegranate, and turmeric. Each stamping is done by hand — making every print unique. The process takes days for a single yard of fabric, but the result is an organic, living pattern that machine printing can never replicate.

From chikankari of Lucknow to phulkari of Punjab, our embroidery is done by hand using techniques passed down through generations. Each stitch — whether it's a satin stitch, chain stitch, or mirror work — is placed with precision and care. A single dupatta can take weeks to embroider, each one a unique work of art.

We source our fabrics from handloom clusters across India — Chanderi silk from Madhya Pradesh, organic cotton from Gujarat, and Banarasi silk from Varanasi. We prioritise natural fibres and eco-friendly dyes, supporting artisan livelihoods while ensuring every garment feels as good as it looks.
